Architecture Intern – Residential Passive House Rehabilitation (Gary, Indiana)

We are seeking an architecture student interested in gaining hands-on experience through a residential Passive House rehabilitation project in Gary, Indiana. This internship offers the opportunity to participate in all phases of the project, from initial documentation through construction, while working on the rehabilitation of an existing home with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and affordable housing. Responsibilities include:

• Documenting existing conditions and preparing field measurements
• Developing and maintaining the Revit model
• Assisting with rehabilitation drawings and construction documents
• Researching building materials, products, and construction methods
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors
• Assisting with permitting and construction administration
• Participating in site visits and observing the rehabilitation process from design through completion

Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an Architecture program (undergraduate or graduate)
• Working knowledge of Revit; AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite are a plus
• Strong interest in sustainable design, Passive House principles, and residential rehabilitation
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
