SENIOR ASSOCIATE
A Senior Associate is a position of leadership within the firm. The position requires an individual who is able to manage numerous architectural projects varying in magnitude. Persons in this position report to a Principal regarding management of their projects.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Contributes to the planning, design, coordination, and execution of architectural projects.
- Manages project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Supervises and mentors architectural design staff, fostering professional growth and consistency in project execution.
- Develops, evaluates, and recommends architectural design solutions addressing complex project requirements.
- Applies advanced architectural principles, professional judgment, and innovative techniques to resolve design and technical challenges.
- Conducts research and analysis of zoning ordinances, accessibility standards, and building codes to inform project design and compliance.
- Prepares design presentations, detailed drawings, and comprehensive construction documents.
- Coordinates with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment of design intent and project goals.
- Coordination with Sustainable Consultants is typical on all projects.
- Performs site visits, observes construction progress, and prepares detailed field reports.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of firm-wide design standards and best practices.
DESIGN MANAGER
A Design Manager is a position that requires an individual who is able to be a strong asset to a project team, takes on significant portions of project responsibility, and contributes to the management of others on the team. Persons in this position will report to the Project Lead regarding management of their projects. A Design Manager must meet the following criteria:
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Works from design of others
- Performs routine architectural assignments
- Develops design and/or technical solutions under supervision
- Assists in schematic design and design development phases
- Prepares/Produces sketches, plans, elevations, renderings and models
- Researches products and materials
- Researches zoning accessibility and building code
- Assists in preparing construction documents under direction of others
- Carries out assignments requiring development of new/improved techniques/procedures
- Coordinates with and attends meetings with consultants and contractors
DESIGN COORDINATOR
A Design Coordinator is a position that requires an individual who is able to produce a complete set of Construction Drawings under the guidance of a Supervisor. Persons in this position will report to the Project Lead regarding the management of their projects. A Design Coordinator must meet the following criteria:
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Works from design of others
- Performs routine architectural assignments
- Develops design and/or technical solutions under supervision
- Assists in schematic design and design development phases
- Prepares/Produces sketches, plans, elevations, renderings and models
- Researches products and materials
- Researches zoning accessibility and (building) code
- Investigates, evaluates and recommends design solutions
- Provides consultation in the planning, design and coordination of projects
- Assists in preparing construction documents under direction of others
Applicant Requirements
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Experience/Expertise:
- Licensed Architect with Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree required.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of professional architectural experience.
- Proven record of managing 3–5 substantial projects from Schematic Design through completion.
- Proficient in Revit, Enscape, and other architectural design and documentation software.
- Demonstrated command of architectural vocabulary, theory, and design concepts.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and architectural detailing.
- Strong understanding of materials, construction methods, and industry tools.
- Familiarity with the practical application of engineering principles in architectural design.
- Understanding of business operations, project management, and leadership principles

- Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Master of Architecture preferred
- Working experience in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape
- Knowledge of architectural vocabulary and concepts
- Knowledge of code and zoning
- Knowledge of architectural detailing
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools
DESIGN COORDINATOR

- Assisted in portions of phases of projects from Schematic Design through completion
