Architect I

We are looking for a talented and tenacious architect or architectural designer to join our team.
Job Summary:
Plan, design, and facilitate the execution of single family, multifamily and commercial projects according to clients needs, desires, and financial resources.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Interface with clients and project team
- Establish project schedule, collaborate on design with senior staff, review presentations, manage preliminary pricing
- Produce, redline, and review construction drawings
- Coordinate with consultants
- Coordinate finish selections
- Produce visualization and presentations
- Perform code and other research
- Manage permit submissions and coordinate contractor retention
- Attend site meetings, maintain project notes and review sketches
- Support implementation of BIM software
Applicant Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely proficient with computer-aided design software including CAD and BIM
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent problem-solving, management, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of building codes
- Must have drivers license and have a car
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Architecture required, Masters degree preferred
- 4-5 year experience in high end residential architecture, preference for additional experience in multifamily and mixed use architecture.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- This job has 40 hours/week of in-studio time
