About the Job
We are seeking a new team member to take a leadership role in a variety of projects in all phases. The position is in-person only, in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities include:
- Design, drafting, and detailing for projects ranging from custom furniture to exhibition design and institutional buildings.
- Leading and managing architectural projects from initial design concepts through construction administration, including zoning and code analysis, permitting, site visits, and RFI reviews
- Working collaboratively with project teams, including outside consultants
- Mentoring junior architects and interns.
- Communicating with clients
Applicant Requirements
We will only consider applicants with 5 or more years of architectural experience in an American office
- Excellent AutoCAD, Sketchup, and rendering skills.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
- Passion for projects with an art and/or social justice component

$70,000-$90,000

We are a small, multidisciplinary office that prizes creativity, attention to detail and congeniality. Our projects are all over the country, and include residential, institutional, museum exhibition design, and small commercial clients. Design services range from ritual objects to new construction for synagogues and schools. We require multi-tasking professionals who are comfortable working on a variety of projects and scales simultaneously.
