We're excited to collaborate with a talented individual to bring our architectural projects to life through compelling graphic narratives. We have an immediate need for assistance with creating graphics for current projects and updating existing web content. If you're passionate about architecture, storytelling and skilled in creating stunning visual representations, we'd love to hear from you!
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in architectural graphics, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work (previous work experience is acceptable if you were the production lead)
- Ability to create high-quality graphic representations, including: Conventional drawing representations (plans, sections), Diagrams, Stylized renderings
- A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to bring new ideas to the table
- Ongoing collaboration on a semi-regular basis, with immediate needs and future projects
- Flexibility in compensation arrangements (hourly, project-based, etc.)
- Virtual meetings via Zoom during normal US Central Time Zone business hours

- Meet deadlines and maintain excellent communication throughout the project
- Proactive and inquisitive, with a passion for delivering high-quality work
- Positive attitude and pride in your work
- Collaborative
- Familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools (we use Dropbox)
- Ability to create a variety of graphic styles for different projects
- Able to make quick initial design iterations for review / discussion
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite (with your own up-to-date software licenses)

Hammersley Architecture was founded in 2008. Our studio is located in the historic Fine Arts Building on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. We explore the potential of architecture through both projects and speculative works. Our firm is not so much focused on a project type as much as we are on creating thoughtful, useful and beautiful design solutions through a highly collaborative design process. Over the past several years, our work has focused on commercial space, performing arts spaces, community spaces, research and social infrastructure projects.
