Wing Mentorship

Founded in late 2019, Wing is a semester-long program that pairs architecture students with young working professionals who are graduates of the AIA Chicago Bridge program. Beginning at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the program has grown to include students from Illinois Institute of Technology and University of Illinois Chicago.

About Wing

Wing is a semester-long program that pairs architecture students with young working professionals who are graduates of the AIA Chicago Bridge program. The one-on-one mentoring relationships provide students: 

  • Guidanceon their studies and career direction
  • Developmentreviews for their studio projects, portfolios, and resumes 
  • Exposureto what Architects really do- in the office and in the field 
  • Relationshipsto aid the transition from academia to the working world 

Ideal Applicant

Upper class students or graduate students from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology and University of Illinois Chicago are welcome to apply. There are eight spots available for each university for 24 students in a cohort.
