Faculty, College of Architecture at IIT
Susan Conger-Austin, AIA is both an educator and practicing architect. She is a faculty member in the College of Architecture IIT, teaching advanced studios and seminars, leading numerous College programs throughout her tenure. In addition, Professor Conger-Austin has extensive experience collaborating with several universities throughout the world. Awarded Fulbright Specialist Scholar grants, she has taught in Chile, Brazil, and Spain. In 2019, Professor Conger-Austin received the Excellence in Teaching Award at the College. Susan received her Master’s in Architecture at Princeton University and her Bachelor of Arts in economics and art history at Stanford University.
