Amanda Engel is the part-time Development Coordinator for AIA Chicago. She started with the Chapter in 2021 as Project Manager for DESIGNIGHT and resumed a similar role in 2022 for the AIA Conference on Architecture. Architecture has been a lifelong passion of Amanda’s, and she loves having a job that exposes her to good design while working with the people who make it happen. Prior to joining AIA, Amanda worked at the Chicago Architecture Center in Membership, and at the Field Museum in the Bird Division of the Zoology Department.
Amanda earned a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability from Roosevelt University in Chicago and is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois. She is an avid birder and enjoys spending her free time exploring nature with her husband and keeping up with their baby girl.
