Recent accomplishments of the Department of Buildings Working Group
- Actively participated in rewriting the Chicago Building Code and continuing to review and provide input on novel and evolving code issues.
- Advocated for and provided feedback on several code memorandums and clarifications that have been issued by the office of the Commissioner of the Dept. of Buildings.
- Advocated for efficient and transparent permitting by providing feedback on the Chicago permitting process.
- Reviewed proposed Illinois Accessibility Code changes and provided a letter of recommendations for edits and changes to the State of Illinois.
- Monitored and discussed evolving energy requirements of the City of Chicago and State of Illinois.
