We are seeking a motivated, organized individual who has completed an architecture degree, and is eager to pursue sustainable architecture. This position reports to the Principal and is responsible for developing project drawings and specifications, overseeing 1-2 technical or junior staff, coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors, researching zoning and building codes, and construction contract administration. The position will involve managing 4-6 concurrent projects at various stages of design and construction. Our studio atmosphere and project and CAD standards provide great support for onboarding and ongoing employees, and offer a great learning opportunity for emerging professionals. In addition to BIM training, we will provide training in WUFI-Passive, Wrightsoft, and the detailing of a super high performance building. We are located right off the CTA Blue Line in the Oak Park Arts District.
Applicant Requirements
Four to eight years’ experience in architecture (preferably small firm experience), highly proficient in ArchiCad (preferred) or Revit, excellent communication and people management skills, and thorough attention to detail. Experience with and interest in energy-efficient design is a must, Passive House consultant training is preferred.
