Rivetna Architects is seeking an experienced Project Architect who can also manage projects, take ownership, lead people, and play an important role in the firm’s future.
We want someone who sees what needs to happen and makes it happen. You should be comfortable leading clients and consultants, overseeing construction documents, solving technical problems, making decisions in the field, and keeping projects moving.
Your role will be broad. You will manage projects from design through construction, lead staff, coordinate consultants, navigate permitting and code issues, work directly with clients, and help improve how the firm operates. For the right person, there is significant opportunity for influence and leadership.
Applicant Requirements
- 6+ years of professional architectural experience
- Licensed architect or actively pursuing licensure
- Professional degree in architecture
- Strong technical, production, and construction-document skills
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of IBC and City of Chicago codes
- Experience managing projects from design through construction
- Ability to lead clients, consultants, teams, schedules, and deliverables
- Confident on construction sites and comfortable making decisions in the field
- Organized, decisive, resourceful, and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong communicator who gives and receives direct feedback well
- Takes initiative, solves problems, and follows through
- Uses technology to work smarter and improve project execution
- Interested in long-term leadership and the growth of the firm
- Ability to travel to project sites and meetings throughout Chicagoland and beyond
- Reliable transportation
- In-office presence at the Bridgeport Art Center
