In Person Architect Registration Exam (ARE) Study Group

Connect with fellow Architect Registration Examination (ARE) candidates through AIA Chicago’s peer-led ARE Study Group. Whether you’re just beginning your licensure journey or preparing for your final exam, this group provides the support, accountability, and community to help you succeed.

The group meets virtually each month, with a quarterly in-person study session at AIA Chicago headquarters. Facilitated by three co-chairs who are actively preparing for the ARE themselves, each session features practice questions from Black Spectacles and ARE East Bay, along with discussion, shared strategies, and collaborative problem-solving.

Members are also encouraged to join the dedicated ARE Slack channel to stay connected between meetings. The channel includes NCARB updates, pop-up study sessions, study resources, and a space to ask questions and connect with fellow candidates.
