Architects in Schools (AIS) Training

Summary

Make an impact in the life of a middle school student by becoming a mentor in AIA Chicago’s Architects in Schools program!

Before joining the virtual training, please fill out the Spring 2024 Architects in Schools Interest Form

Architects in Schools (AIS) is an initiative that brings architecture professionals into Chicago Public School classrooms to introduce middle school students to the field of architecture. It is an eight-week program with four-to-six practicing architects visiting a single classroom once a week.  The students engage in design exercises, field trips, and produce a final group project. Attendance at a minimum of three sessions is strongly encouraged.
