Architectural Head Games
Chicago, Illinois

Architectural Head Games invites the public to experience architecture in a bold, unexpected way—through imaginative, wearable headpieces inspired by beloved Chicago spaces. First unveiled in the city’s Arts in the Dark parade, this project brought together a collective of architects to transform buildings into playful, human-scale forms. The follow-up exhibition offered an intimate, gallery-based encounter with the designs, pairing each headpiece with personal reflections from its creator. By making architecture visible, touchable, and even wearable, Architectural Head Games sparks public curiosity, celebrates design’s civic role, and reimagines how we relate to the built environment.
